Diploma in (Mechanical Engineering)
ABOUT THE COURSE
Recognized by the Government of India, and diploma awarded by Institution of
Mechanical Engineers, Mumbai, India. The Institution of Mechanical Engineers has
introduced a scheme to provide engineering education at two levels i.e., (1)
Diploma level (2) Degree level. This Diploma level examination is known as
Technician Engineers Examination and the Degree level examination is known as
Associate Membership Examination or Chartered Engineers Examination. The
Technician Engineers Examination is approved by the Department of Education,
Ministry of Human Resources Development, Government of India.
The courses is divided into two parts I & II. Candidates passing both part I &
II (Section I & II) of Technician Engineers Examination will be eligible to use
abbreviated designation of T.Engg after their name. After passing the T. Engg.
Diploma course Candidates will be able to seek employment in supervisory posts
in central and state government services, public sector undertakings and other
industries. The above candidates will also be eligible to seek admission to
Section A, of Charted Engineers or Associate Membership of Institution of
Mechanical Engineers, which is equivalent to a degree in Mechanical Engineering.

ELIGIBILITY
PART I
Age : 16 Years Completed
The minimum qualification required for this examination is a pass in 10th
standard or S.S.C. or equivalent examination with Maths, Physics and
Chemistry.
PART II
Pass in Part-I Examination or 10+2 level examination, with Mathematics, Physics
and Chemistry.
