Diploma in (Automobile Engineering)

ABOUT THE COURSE

Approved by the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh & A.I.C.T.E. This is a three-year course in Automobile Engineering, leading to the award of a diploma by the Directorate of Technical Education (DOTE), Government of Andhra Pradesh and is phased over six semesters. Students are given theoretical and practical training at the institution.

With the entry of several leading international car and truck manufacturers, there is an extreme demand for qualified service engineers in the automobile engineering.

ELIGIBILITY

Candidates should have passed SSC / 10th Standard or any other equivalent examination approved by the DOTE, Government of Andhra Pradesh.
Marks No Bar.
Candidates with elementary Mathematics alone are not eligible.

For SC/ST candidates, a pass in 10th Std is sufficient.

Candidates should not have completed 22 years of age as on 1st of the session in question. However, for SC/ST candidates, the rule is relaxable by 3 years. Candidates should not have completed 25 years as on 1st July.

The qualification prescribed above are based on the educational system prevailing in Andhra Pradesh. Hence, candidates who have studied in other states are liable to satisfy these minimum requirements, irrespective of the rules prevailing in other states.

No relaxation, either in qualifications or in age, shall be permitted and the admission are subject to the approval of the Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Andhra Pradesh. However, in the case of SC/ST, MBC and BC candidates, the relaxation as stipulated by DOTE will be applicable.

Candidates from other states also can apply for admission. They should produce the Board Certificate apart from other original certificates, T.C and mark sheet.

Candidates belonging to SC, ST, MBC, DC & BC from other states will be considered on par with OC candidates of Andhra Pradesh with regard to age and marks. (This is subject to guidelines of the DOTE prevalent at the time of admission).

Candidates with Pass Mark is eligible for admission.

Special Note: Under the 'Laternal Entry Scheme', an additional 10% of seats for candidates each from plus two academic and vocational stream are available for direct admission into 2nd year of DAE course. (Only for 12+12=24 candidates).

ASSESSMENT
Students are required to appear for the government examinations which will be conducted at the end of the first year and then onwards, every semester.
