ABOUT THE COURSE
Engineering Course: Duration is 4 years. The course is divided into eight
semesters, each of six months duration of which the first two semesters are
combined. Students will have to appear for the first University examination at
the end of the 2nd semester, in April. Thereafter, they will have to appear for
a University examination (theory and practical) at the end of every semester
i.e., in April and December.
Job Opportunities:
A Civil Engineer designs, prepares working drawings and builds residential, commercial and industrial structures, water supply and sewage disposal work structures and other construction required for the communication network, roads, railways, bridges, etc. Civil engineer plays a vital role in rural and urban planning and development.
Every year hundreds of Civil Engineers are recruited to meet the growing needs of State and Central P.W.D Public Health Engineering Department, Indian Railways, National Highways and various multi-national construction projects as Design Engineer, Site Engineer, etc.
