"ISTE Students Chapter"

Indian Society for Technical Education is the biggest professional society in Indian with over 40,000 members who are mainly from Technical Educational Institution, R & D Organizations and also from Industry. There are 70,000 student members in ISTE.

ISTE is aiming at improving the capabilities of students not only in technical aspects but also in communication skills. They also attend to specific requests from the Students' Chapters with regards to:

1. Coaching for Competitive examinations.

2. Coaching for Job Interviews, preparing  Job Applications etc.

3. Supervisory and Communication skill development.

4. Training for Self-employment.

5. Guidance on Job Opportunities in India and Abroad.

6. Guidance on higher study facilities in India and Abroad.

7. Managing Training in Industries and Visits to Industry.

                In view of the above, a Student Chapter of ISTE was found in the Institute which is attached to the local Chapter of ISTE. Almost all our students are members of ISTE and the Chapter is the biggest in India. The following activities are taken up by the ISTE Students Chapter :

1. Organizing Seminars on various Technical topics in the Institute.

2. Deputing the ISTE student members to present Technical Papers in other Institutes in India...

At present ISTE Students Chapter is engaged in meeting a big responsibility of organizing a Technical Paper meet of Students of different Institutes. The Chapter also organizes merit awards competitions regularly.

The above activities help the student to get necessary training and organization of the events at the national level, which will go a long way in shaping the all- round personality of the students.
